Suppliers of renewable energy
Cornwall Switch is recommending four ‘green’ energy suppliers. In selecting these, we’ve drawn on guidance from two of the UK’s most respected environmental organisations – Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace.
All our recommended suppliers offer green energy tariffs that make a real contribution to the development of renewable power. Some of these cost no more than the standard tariff from your local supplier, while some may even cost a bit less.
Prices of all electricity tariffs vary over time and may also depend on whether you also choose to buy gas from a particular supplier. At the time of writing, switching to even the most expensive 100% renewable tariff would cost the average household just £2.11 extra each month – about the price of a pint of beer!*
Our partner switching service Energylinx has all the latest price information on all our recommended tariffs. Their website allows you to switch online in just a few minutes.

* Based on a customer currently on SWEB Energy’s standard tariff (no standing charge), paying by monthly direct debit, and with an annual electricity bill of £260 a year, as at 05/01/06. Cornwall Switch makes every effort to provide accurate information, but please note that prices may vary over time, and Cornwall Switch cannot take responsibility in regard to any errors or omissions in regard to the companies, organisations or products mentioned.

Switching to renewable energy means less need for coal-fired power stations that emit massive amounts of greenhouse gases.
